Fine Vines: Atlanta CMO Annual Social Highlights
What do you get when you blend fun conversation, carefully selected wine pairings, and Balinese cuisine? A recipe for a highly memorable Atlanta CMO Annual Social!
We celebrated our first year with our Marketing Leaders of Atlanta charter members. CMOs from QASymphony, Innovergent, Walker & Dunlop, iHealth Innovations, and others participated. Many joined me in sipping some “liquid courage” before the cooking began.
Our group bravely donned their aprons, listened intently to Chef Michelle’s knife handling instructions, and dove into the “Best of Bali” dinner preparation.
Members feasted on rujak (hot and sweet fruit salad), sate ayam (grilled chicken and shrimp skewers), nasi goreng (fried rice with a sriracha kick), and a lumpar cake (a Balinese version of coconut infused custard).
Oh, did I mention the wine was sublime?
One of the funniest Annual CMO Social moments happened as we were plating. Daniela Campari said: “I read the (dessert) recipe, then set it aside. Ellen and I decided to create our own version of lumpar cake!”
The risky move paid off. I grabbed 2 cakes and inhaled them before anyone would notice.
Members unanimously agreed: our Annual CMO Social was a huge success, and we are already planning our menu for 2018.
